Daily Prayer 2024 June 28

Oh God, our Heavenly Father, Thank you for all your many blessings.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with You, and the Word was You.  Through You, all things were made; in You was life, the light of all mankind.

Dear most Gracious Heavenly Father, Thank you for the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us.  We have heard, we have seen with our eyes, we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.  Your eternal life, which was with You and has appeared to us.

We remember the fall of Jerusalem, the hardship and exile, the temple burned and the walls broken down.  Yet, in the midst of despair, You remain our hope and salvation.  We ask for Your strength, wisdom, healing, and guidance.

As Jesus healed the man with leprosy, showing compassion and declaring, “I am willing, be clean,”  So do we seek Your healing touch in our lives, to cleanse us and make us whole.  We confess our shortcomings and mistakes and seek Your forgiveness.

We pray for ourselves, our family, friends, and all Your children.  We lift up their needs and well-being. We surrender to You.  We also have a silent request, known only to You.

We offer You a promise of this Simple Act and pray You accept it.  We pray these things to You our Lord God, through Christ. And It Is So.

Reflections from John 1, Kings 25, Matthew 8
