Oh God, our Heavenly Father, Thank you for all your many blessings. Be gracious to us, O Lord; we wait for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in times of distress. You are exalted, filling Zion with justice and righteousness, providing us a sure foundation, salvation, wisdom, and knowledge.
Dear most Gracious Heavenly Father, Thank you for awakening us from slumber, shining Your light through Christ upon us. Help us to walk as children of light, living wisely in these days. When the Book of the Law was found, King Josiah led the people to renew their covenant with You; may we too commit to Your ways.
We ask for Your strength, wisdom, healing, and guidance. Teach us to discern true from false, to recognize the fruits of those who lead. We confess our shortcomings and mistakes and seek Your forgiveness.
We pray for ourselves, our family, friends, and all Your children. We lift up their needs and well-being. We surrender to You. We also have a silent request, known only to You.
We offer You a promise of this Simple Act and pray You accept it. We pray these things to You our Lord God, through Christ. And It Is So.
Reflections from Isaiah 33, Ephesians 5, Kings 22, Matthew 7
