Oh God, our Heavenly Father, Thank you for all your many blessings. You have sent messengers before You, preparing the way with promises of salvation and light. Through the voices of prophets and the birth of John, You have shown us Your plan for redemption.
Dear most Gracious Heavenly Father, Thank you for calling us from before we were born. You have made us to be a light to the nations, to bring Your salvation to the ends of the earth. In the lineage of David, You brought forth Jesus, fulfilling Your promise and showing Your heart.
We ask for Your strength, wisdom, healing, and guidance. As John grew strong in spirit, so may we be strengthened by Your presence. We confess our shortcomings and mistakes and seek Your forgiveness.
We pray for ourselves, our family, friends, and all Your children. We lift up their needs and well-being. We surrender to You. We also have a silent request, known only to You.
We offer You a promise of this Simple Act and pray You accept it. We pray these things to You our Lord God, through Christ. And It Is So.
