Prayer of the day 2024 April 24

Our Dear most Gracious Heavenly Father, our Creator and Sustainer,

From the breadth of your creation to the depths of our hearts, your name is exalted, and your majesty resounds through the earth.

In the chorus of the morning, we join the heavenly hymn, singing alleluia, for your love endures forever.

You, O Word of God, through your sacrifice on the cross, have lifted us from the dust to heights of divine heritage.

By your resurrection, life immortal is bestowed, and our voices rise in victorious praise to Christ the Son.

At the dawn of creation, you formed us with your hands, imbuing us with your image, crowning us with glory and honor.

Through your wounds, we find healing, And in your death, the promise of life everlasting.

You breathed into us the breath of life, a spark of the divine, and in your wisdom, you laid down your life to redeem our own.

from the grave, you emerged, breaking the chains that bound us, raising us up to stand with you, O Glorious Head.

We are your children, fashioned in your likeness, Renewed in the image of Christ, the true light of the world.

In his light, we see our true selves, our calling, our destiny, to grow into the fullness of humanity as revealed in him.

How great is your name, O Lord our God, across all the earth, your splendor praised beyond the skies, from the mouths of the young.

When we gaze upon the heavens, the work of your fingers, we marvel at your care for us, mere mortals touched by your hand.

Yet you have elevated us, just shy of divinity, endowed with honor, reigning over creation by your decree.

All creatures, great and small, you placed within our care, From the flocks in the fields to the fish navigating the streams.

How great is your name, O Lord our God, in every corner of creation, your glory is declared.

We commit to (Simple Act) as our humble offering, A symbol of our devotion and our heartfelt prayer.

May this act of faith be pleasing to you, O Lord, as we seek to live in the light of your love and grace.

We pray these things to you, our Lord God, through Christ. And It Is So.
